The Detra is a Tatra T 12 (a Czech design) assembled in Germany by Detra. It was a creation of Hans Ledwinka that introduced new technologies: an air-cooled engine and a simplified chassis composed of a central tube and an independent suspension.

In the 1950’s Lepicard and his friend Monsieur Veniard bought the car. Lepicard changed the engine block for one of the engines mounted on a LeMans car from 1934. Otherwise, the car is original including its body, made by Duval.
