Water cooled V-Type 2 cylinder, rear shaft/twin chain drive, fully independent suspension. In 1930’s Britain, a tax advantage that allowed 3-wheeled vehicles to be registered as motorcycles made the Morgan a practical and exciting option and the best known of the British 3-wheelers. The Morgan Aero Super Sports’ low center of gravity design is enhanced by the J.A.P. engine, running a twin chain from the drive shaft passing between the seats. H.F.S. Morgan, founder of the Morgan Motor Company LTD, completed his first 3-wheeler in 1909. “Modern” versions of these hand-built cars are still made in 2021 and retain features found on the original 1909 model. In 1930, Mrs. Gwenda Stewart of France piloted a similar Morgan Super Sports to a record speed of 115.66 mph at Montlhéry.
