The Audi Front 220 was Europe’s first production car to combine front-wheel drive with a six-cylinder engine. In production for just under two years, it was replaced in 1935 by the Audi Front 225 featuring a larger 2241 cc engine.

This 1935 Audi 225 Cabriolet is one of two known to exist and the only one known in North America. After a long search for a restorable car, our Audi was found outside of Lakeland, Florida where it sat decomposing in a storage trailer for 50 years. After a six year restoration process by our highly skilled team, our "Resurrection Story" was finished and has been on display in the Museum since November 2022. This car is a beautiful and historically significant embodiment of restoration and interesting automotive history.

We have before and after pictures of this one so visitors may see just how far gone this car was when it was acquired. As you will see, our restoration team did incredible work!
