On February 7th, the sound of racing will drift through Pinellas Park as the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg IndyCar Show Car pulls up in front of the Tampa Bay Automobile Museum for a special daytime visit.

From 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM, visitors will have the chance to see a modern IndyCar up close, just feet away from the museum’s collection of rare and unconventional vehicles. With its exposed aerodynamics, lightweight construction, and purpose-built design, the show car offers a striking contrast to the historic machines inside the museum that tell earlier chapters of racing and engineering.

This stop is part of the lead-up to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, one of the most iconic street races in North America. Bringing the show car to the museum gives fans, families, and curious passersby a chance to experience the look and scale of today’s top-level open-wheel racing without needing a race ticket.

Guests are welcome to take photos, explore the museum, and enjoy seeing how racing technology has evolved from early automotive experimentation to the precision-built machines competing on city streets today.

Whether you follow IndyCar closely or simply appreciate bold engineering, this is a rare opportunity to see a piece of modern motorsport in the middle of a museum dedicated to the cars that dared to be different.
